Our Affiliates are typically able to do the tasks below, or are learning to do tasks at this level
- Carry out some simple, foundational statistical analysis
- produce visualisations with some flexibility in terms of labelling, colour and chart choice, and drawing attention to core features
- intentionally join data sets on key variables
- create new features of data (e.g. one hot encoding or dummy variables, mathematical summations and data filtering)
- produce interactive visualisations and work with map data
- work on both downloaded data tables and cloud data sets
- manage data version control
- work independently within a data privacy regulations framework
- produce a schema to promote data reuse and with respect to copyright laws
- carry out simple hypothesis testing
- separate data into a train and test split intentionally
- Create surveys for data collection
- carry out analytics to support decision making in key areas (e.g. risk management or financial prediction)
