Asif John

Asif John is a qualified actuary, analytics leader, and AI innovator with nearly 20 years of experience applying data science and GenAI across industries including financial services, healthcare, education, technology, and mental health. While his career foundations are in insurance and reinsurance, his work now spans a broad range of sectors, helping organisations translate complex data into strategic impact.

He is the Co-Founder and Partner at ARGenesis, a consultancy and software company delivering advanced AI, GenAI, and data-driven solutions for regulated and emerging industries. He also serves as a Non-Executive Director at NewCo, a pioneering organisation in mental health services.

Asif is the Board Chair of the IFoA's AI & Data Science Community, guiding global actuarial and analytics engagement with AI. He is also a partner at the Institute of Analytics. In academia, he has served as Industry Leader for Data Science Case Studies at Heriot-Watt University and as a Guest Lecturer at the London School of Economics. He has authored and co-authored academic papers on AI and data science applications, including climate change modelling and the responsible use of GenAI in regulated industries.

Recognised for bridging actuarial expertise with cutting-edge AI, Asif advises organisations on responsibly leveraging data and GenAI to achieve both commercial growth and social good. His contributions extend across strategy, product innovation, and thought leadership, supporting corporates, regulators, universities, and not-for-profits. He describes himself as loyal, trustworthy, energetic, and positive, with a strong faith in his creator.
