Mahmoud Abdelrahman

Dr Mahmoud Abdelrahman is an Associate Professor of Business Analytics at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School (MMU) and a Strategic Advisor and Consultant for Business Planning and Data Analytics at different institutions globally in MENA (Middle East and North Africa) and Europe. His academic and professional work integrates data analytics, knowledge management, and decision support systems to advance evidence-based management and digital transformation. He earned his PhD in Knowledge Management Systems and Decision Support Systems and MSc in Information Systems, Organisations, and Management from the University of Manchester, following earlier degrees in business administration from Zagazig University.

With over 20 years of international academic and consulting experience across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East, Dr Abdelrahman has held leadership roles including Programme Leader of the MSc Business Analytics and Director of Advanced Practice at Newcastle Business School. He has supervised and examined different research projects and serves as an External Examiner for leading universities around the world.

His research has been published in ABS 4, 3, and Q1 journals** including European Journal of Information Systems, Transportation Research Part C, Human Behaviour and Emerging Technologies, and IEEE Access. His scholarly interests span AI adoption, technology acceptance, organisational readiness, knowledge sharing, knowledge management systems and digital innovation.
