Widely recognized for his pioneering contributions to advanced analytics and AI-led transformation, Praveen has built a distinguished career at the intersection of technology,business, and social impact. His journey began at IIT Madras, where his groundbreaking research in artificial neural networks achieved a global record of less than one Kelvin error in satellite-based temperature retrieval—earning him international publications, the Institute Merit Prize, and a Silver Medal. Building on this early success, Praveen transitioned to ITC Limited, where he applied advanced analytics to complex industrial operations, driving significant bottom-line improvements and earning national recognition for energy efficiency. His passion for scaling data-driven impact later led him to McKinsey & Company, where, as a Partner, he leads the firm’s analytics-driven Operations practice. He has spearheaded the creation of two transformative AI products—collectively delivering over $500 million in client impact and deployed across 50+ global organizations.
A sought-after keynote speaker and moderator at leading AI and business forums such as Procurecon, Praveen’s work on agentic AI has been featured in major media outlets including Daily FT and Indian Chemical News. He also serves as a judge at multiple international platforms on analytics, AI, and business transformation.
Beyond the corporate sphere, Praveen champions the use of analytics for social good—advancing educational innovation through partnerships with leading non-profit institutions. An elected Fellow and Council Member across several global analytics associations, he continues to shape the responsible use of AI, inspiring change that spans industries and communities alike.
