Interview

  1. Why did you join the Institute of Analytics?

I joined the Institute of Analytics to be part of a global community that shares my passion for ethical, responsible, and impactful use of data. I believe in continuous learning, and IOA offers a platform to engage with thought leaders, contribute to the evolving conversation around analytics, and advocate for standards that prioritize both innovation and integrity in data science.

  2. The question everyone wants to ask: what was it like working at Microsoft?

Working at Microsoft has been incredibly fulfilling-an environment where bold ideas are transformed into scalable solutions. As a Data & AI Specialist, I've had the opportunity to contribute to pioneering projects like the Virtual Stylist for a global fashion retailer and the Gingham Genius fragrance engine. Microsoft empowers us to harness cutting-edge technology to drive meaningful business outcomes, all while upholding Responsible AI principles.

  3. What does your career journey look like?

My career has spanned consulting, solution architecture, and business strategy across companies like SAP, Mindtree, BrainScale, and now Microsoft. I've always gravitated toward roles where I can bridge technology and business-from leading 7-Eleven's Azure-powered Customer 360 transformation at Mindtree to accelerating enterprise cloud adoption across industries. At every step, I've focused on helping organizations turn data into decisions, and decisions into growth.

  4. Do you have a personal motto or credo that has guided your career?

Yes: "Drive impact with empathy and integrity." I believe technology, especially AI, should serve people-whether that's customers, employees, or society. My credo is to use data not just to optimize business outcomes, but to create more inclusive, intelligent, and responsible systems.

  5. What changes would you like to see in the world?

I would love to see more democratization of data skills and ethical AI practices, particularly in developing economies. The ability to understand and use data responsibly should not be confined to tech hubs or elite institutions. As we race toward an AI-driven future, ensuring equity, transparency, and accountability becomes not just important but imperative.

  6. Where do you see the future of data and your role in that?

The future of data lies in context-aware, ethical, and real-time AI systems. My role is to act as a bridge-helping enterprises navigate this future through responsible innovation. Whether it's designing AI recommender engines for auction houses or accelerating product innovation with GenAI in manufacturing, I aim to create scalable frameworks that empower organizations to make data-driven decisions responsibly.

  7. Outside work, what is your life like?

Outside of work, I'm a lifelong learner. I enjoy exploring how AI intersects with social impact and sustainability. I also invest time mentoring early-career professionals and contributing to global data communities like IEEE and AAAI. It keeps me grounded and reminds me why I entered this field in the first place: to make a positive difference through data and AI.
