Shamnad Shaffi is a Data Architect at Amazon Web Services with nearly two decades of experience designing advanced data engineering and AI solutions across industries including telecommunications, retail, and healthcare. He specializes in transforming complex data challenges into scalable solutions, with deep expertise in data management, architecture, governance, integration, data security, and business intelligence.
Shamnad is a Doctoral Researcher in Information Systems at Dakota State University and has authored 10+ peer-reviewed publications in IEEE, Springer Nature, Communications of the ACM, and ISACA on topics including data lake house architecture, AI ethics, healthcare analytics, and enterprise data governance. He has presented his work at multiple international conferences including IEEE, ACM, and DAMA Day.
He serves as Co-VP of Programs & Education of DAMA Puget Sound (2025-2026), Vice President of INFORMS Pacific Northwest Chapter, and Technical Advisory Board member of the Applied Artificial Intelligence Association. He is also a Fellow of the British Computer Society (BCS).
