Interview

Why did you join the Institute of Analytics?

Joining the Institute of Analytics was a natural step in my professional journey. As someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, quality, and data, I saw IOA as a platform to both contribute to and learn from a global network of innovators who are shaping the future of analytics. The community’s commitment to ethical, AI-driven insights and cross-industry impact aligns closely with my own values and ambitions.

The question everyone wants to ask: what was it like working at Visa?

Working at Visa has been both intense and rewarding. You're surrounded by brilliant minds and operate at the intersection of innovation, scale, and security. Leading a global QA team and implementing AI-driven testing strategies in mission-critical financial systems has continuously challenged and refined my leadership and technical philosophies.

What does your career journey look like?

It’s been a journey rooted in curiosity and scaled through resilience. I started building test scripts for network devices, and today I lead a global QA function that blends AI, automation, and performance engineering to ensure flawless digital experiences. Every phase starting from Foxconn, Polycom, and Visa has added a new dimension to my expertise and leadership.

Do you have a personal motto or credo that has guided your career?

Yes: “Quality is not a phase—it’s a mindset.” This principle has driven my approach to everything from building automation pipelines to mentoring engineers. I believe quality must be embedded in every layer of the product and the people who build it.

What changes would you like to see in the world?

I’d like to see greater equity in digital access and opportunity. The potential of AI and analytics is massive, but we must ensure it empowers rather than excludes. Democratizing quality engineering education and tools is a cause I care deeply about.

Where do you see the future of data and your role in that?

The future of data is intelligent, proactive, and deeply integrated into the product lifecycle. As testing moves from reactive QA to predictive quality engineering, I see myself helping build systems that self-learn, self-correct, and align closely with business outcomes through AI and ML.

Outside work, what is your life like?

I’m a curious learner, avid reader, and proud mentor. Whether it's reviewing IEEE conference papers, judging global hackathons, or learning about accessibility standards, I find joy in staying engaged with the evolving tech landscape. And I always make time for family, reflection, and growth.
